History of the castle

The castle of BOURSAULT was built by Madame Widow CLICQUOT, in 1843. In the past, the Barons of Boursault built, in the 16th century, a fortified castle on the same site. Madame Widow CLICQUOT gave the castle of Boursault to her daughter and great granddaughter. The latter received this gift as a weeding present. And the great granddaughter was the famous Duchess d'UZES.
